I’m a little slow in getting this post up, but better late than never! About a month ago I went to DisneySea with my friend (click for his Instagram) and we took a peek at the new show Come Join Your Friends where Gelatoni debuted and was welcomed by everyone. I’ll have another post about the show, this will just be a walk through of my day at the park :D
We arrived just as the park was opening and managed to get a spot in the second row of the standing area. We had hoped to snag a first row spot, but we definitely needed to get there earlier for that to happen. While we waited for the show I ran over to Mamma Biscotti’s Bakery and grabbed us a light snack. I’m not a fan of the sandwiches there, but the focaccia is always really good! My friend always has a cheesecake brownie when we go to the park so that was exactly what he had.
I knew that I wasn’t going to be getting any Sweet Duffy costumes this year, so I allowed myself this little guy. He’s a candy case and come with really cute M&M type chocolates with Duffy, Shellie May, and Gelatoni printed on some of them. I let him hang on my bag for the day and regret it as I got his nose scratched up.
I’m not an avid collector of the Today show schedules, but this one is definitely a keeper!
Finally it was time for the show and we got to see Gelatoni! (More on this in my next post!)
Another reason we visited the park on this day was because we are Tower of Terror: Level 13 fanatics. I think our highest record is 5 times in one day. We weren’t able to set a new record this time around, but we definitely enjoyed this year’s Level 13 a lot! If you want to get on a lot of attractions a weekday in January is the way to go!
The weather was absolutely beautiful and it wasn’t even that cold!
We had lunch at Casbah Food Court and of course had curry!
We weren’t brave enough to attempt the in-park mystery solving event, but we did manage to figure out the monorail one! It took a bit of thinking (and some arguing) until we were headed in the right direction, but in the end it was fairly simple and a fun way to spend the afternoon.
I was so excited to see the super huge Duffy at the Resort Gateway Station!
I feel like we did a lot of eating, but we also did a lot of walking so it all evens out, right? We had our evening meal at Sailing Day Buffet and yes, I shamelessly eat from the children’s buffet. I’m sad that they don’t have the Mickey shaped chicken nuggets anymore. (The non-children’s buffet is very delicious as well, it just wasn’t very photogenic so you get to see my Mickey ketchup rice and sausage.)
We ended the night by watching Fantasmic from Fortress Explorations ♡
No more mickey chicken nuggets? All over the park or just at Sailing Day Buffet? Thanks for great posts – I’ll be there in May and always enjoy the nuggets as I’m allergic to seafood and that severely limits me.
what a cute candy case!
You are so brave to visit in the middle of winter! We are going to wait for another month or two to visit DisneySea. At any rate, great post as always!
